Join us for a celebration of rich history and culture, authentic food and drink, traditional dancing, and a plentiful supply of baked goods!

Learn the history of Czech and Slovak families in the Prince George County region, including lots of genealogical history for the curious!

See vintage farming equipment from members of the community and learn about the importance of agriculture in the Heritage Center’s permanent Czech and Slovak Immigration Gallery.

The Heritage Center Gift Shop features many Czech and Slovak items including cookbooks, Christmas ornaments, children’s activity books, T-shirts, Christmas cards, history and genealogy books, tote bags, floral head bands, notecards, and much more!

Vendors at this event do not accept cash. Instead, you will need to purchase tickets to buy food and drink. You can do so by pressing the button and buying online then pick them up day of, or you can just buy them day of.

FAQs

  • Yes! There is free parking along with a shuttle service from the parking area to the event space. Vendors, musicians, performers, and volunteers should reach out for parking passes.

  • There will be a ticket vendor at the festival’s entrance. All vendors within the festival use a ticket system and do not accept cash. Tickets may be purchased at the festival or beforehand at the Prince George County Regional Heritage Center. Cash and card are accepted.

  • Entry is absolutely FREE of charge! However, there will be food and drink to purchase.

  • Absolutely! The Czech and Slovak Folklife festival is fun for all ages. However, beer is available for purchase so you may be asked to present your I.D. at the door.

  • Yes! Dogs will be allowed into the Festival in certain areas.

  • No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted within the Festival grounds, beer will be available to purchase.
